There is a perfect teepee right in front of me, with perfect aurora as the background, but there’s a guy blocking the entire view with his tripod, and he is not going to leave.
I could literally hear least 10 other photographer complaining how this person ruined a perfect picture, and all of them left to find a better spot, a post with no one is in the picture.
However, I find this set to be perfect. I got the tepee, I got the aurora, and I got a “model” standing on the right spot. I took the shot, and it’s my favorite picture that day, one many would assume to be flawed because of that photographer.
However, I see this picture as self-portrait, as I was doing the same thing-A photographer taking photo, only seeing the result in the head, isolated from the world, when something truly amazing presents.
