What does heroism mean? Who is the hero today? It is not the man who will build higher. Neither the one who will go further, to Neptune or other, but it is simply the one who will show a deep respect for humans and for nature, to delay the disappearance of life on earth at the latest and to become finally the hero of his own story.

About author:
Hakim Boulouiz is an expert in urban aesthetics with a multidisciplinary training. After a diploma in architecture, a diploma in filmmaking and a master degree in territory planning, he completed a PhD at the University of Geneva analyzing the ambivalent relationship between urban design and the art of film. He is fascinated by order and disorder of cities, by fullness and emptiness, by spaces and dressing it up in light and shadow. Each « portrait » of an urban fragment has its own language which is in perpetual metamorphosis and this is all the magic of the street and all the purpose of the photographic immediacy. Today he is active in street photography all around the world.BACK TO GALLERY
