Pregnancy is a time of upheaval for a woman. Her body changes but also her whole life. She is at a point of no return, where doubts, fear and questions arise.
The uncertain future for our children, the fear that they grow up in a world where darkness is more and more perceptible - this is my feeling. Yet in the midst of all this darkness, I always seek this glimmer of hope, this unconditional love that only a mother (and parents), can give for their children.
Through this series, I want to depict these feelings in little sub-stories built around common themes such as Rebirth and Mother Nature with a touch of nostalgia for timeless fairy tales.
This year, I graduated from the Photography Institute, and continue to pursue my studies at the "Académie des Beaux Arts" of Arlon.
During my childhood and adolescence, I prepared for a career as a pianist. This certainly influenced the way I perceive the world and enabled me to fashion a particular concept of the universe, "my universe". For a multitude of reasons, I abandoned the idea of a career in music, a choice that left me deeply wounded. Now, I feel a deep need to find a balance within myself. I have found in photography and image manipulation an answer to this need.
