This series depicts the homes and living environment of informal settlers (squatters) in Davao City, Philippines. Many of the settlers migrated to the city hoping for stable work. Due to contractual labor practices that pay below minimum wage, people are forced to live in rent-free cemeteries. Several of the residents work as groundskeepers in the graveyards.

Landowners have warned settlers they will have to relocate. Ironically, the land will be used to further develop the cemetery, prioritizing the dead over the living.
