May 7, 2016- Wray, Colorado. An EF2 tornado bears down on a remote family home in Northeastern Colorado. This was the very first day of my very first Great Plains storm chasing trip, and everything went amazingly. Thankfully, all of the occupants in this home were alive and uninjured. I will never forget the roar of this beast as it followed us up the highway and made its ominous approach to this solitary property. Chasing storms has always been in my blood and I will never forget this incredible day for as long as I live; it solidified my passion for extreme weather and opened up many doors for me.

About author:
Storm chasing has been in my blood since before I could form sentences. My mother would take me out on the porch during thunderstorms and watch them with me when I was a baby; for as long as I can remember, it's all I've ever wanted to do.BACK TO GALLERY
