Photos were shooted in Afghanistan ,inside the Herat Female Prison.
The kind of crimes for which they are prisoned are extremely absurd for a normal society: like abandon and offense to the husband and his family, going out without the husband permission.
Crimes that out of the muslim reality are a normal way of life.
In each of these photos, there is a common line : women do not have their own reality or identity and they are unable to express themselves freely in society.
My target was reporting are they are seen, as blurred shapes black, almost unformed like boxes dressed in veils where its inside “ cannot” be seen or penetrated. A scenario where the ideological black reigns and where the no “definition” of the individuality wins.
