Agbogbloshie, located in Ghana's capital Accra, is one of the world’s digital dumping grounds. Millions of electronic waste products from the west are processed legally and illegally each year. Every day, workers search the area for computers, ipods, radios, televisions and so on. The working place and home for many is constantly covered in smoke coming from burning plastic cables, plugs and motherboards, leaving only metal behind. This is then collected and sold by locals. After an intensive talk, conducted by my translator, with six men that currently control a certain area of Agbogbloshie I was allowed to take photographs.
