My photographic studies of paper objects lit with colored lights originated with an art school drawing exercise that involved placing an object in a paper bag, crinkling the bag around the object, and drawing the result. I gave myself the task of executing that idea photographically and was inspired to add color as an element. I have since expanded my explorations to include paper airplanes as a subject.
