One breath around the world

Guillaume Néry, 35, is a French freediving world Champion.
In September 2015, during the World freediving Championships in Cyprus, a 10-meter mistake by organisers nearly killed him as he dived much deeper as expected. This moment changed his life. Since then, he has no longer sought to go even deeper and he decided to start a new ambitious project with the French photographer Franck Seguin.
The project ,"One breath around the world" was launched in april 2017. It is a kind of a freediving World Tour that brings them discover exceptional sites of our blue planet and meet people or animals as exceptional. So far, they went to Mauritius swimming with sperm whales, to the Philippines to meet Bajaus sea gypsies, to Mexico exploring cenotes in Yucatan and Japan to discover the Japanese Atlantide in Yonaguni Island. This project is a work in progress, more destinations are to come.
He works for l'EQUIPE, the french leading sports newspaper and magazine. During his career, he has covered the main sporting events : Olympic Games, soccer or rugby world cups, tennis tournaments... In addition to that, Franck is specialized in in-depth sports feature stories and, he has done, in particular, several photostories on freedivers.
