A portrait of a Nigerian girl living in Dublin, taken in April 2017. We were walking along Temple Bar, trying to avoid the crowds and find a good spot to take her portrait, when I suddenly spotted a blue wall. I asked her to stand against it and think about her homeland and everything she had to leave behind. I admired her strength and determination to start a new life, far from everything she knew, and her ambition to head towards a more promising future - that was the feeling I wanted to convey.
