In the town of Moeraki on the South Island of New Zealand, there are mysterious perfectly shaped spherical boulders on Koekohe Beach that exposed in the shoreline. These boulders measure up to three meters and were formed from ancient sea sediments around 60 million years ago. This shoot was began at pre-dawn to capture the sunrise and special morning light. Walking a fair distance along the beach and setting up the tripod in the surf and standing in the surf, these photos were captured using a slow shutter speed.
