No clear answer why their faces were tattooed in the past when they were young. Some said they did to prevent a King to get them into a palace. Some explained the tattoo is the mark of their village tribe on Western mountain in Myanmar. The legend goes on, young girls now do not want to be tattooed, and thus I wanted to capture this old charm before it vanishes through time.
