Love for the sea has always accompanied my life. This boundless place, exterminated from where civilization and wealth had come in the past, has always exerted a great fascination on my imagination; and in particular for ports, meeting places, exchange of goods and people, but also safe places where ships can shelter from the fury of the sea.
Ports intended as places in themselves, where goods and people transit, and where hundreds people go to work every day. There are many tasks that are carried out within these areas, all with an eye to the sea.
With "Vista Mare" I wanted to give a particular focus on people and places.
I left the ports of Naples and Ravenna, where I became familiar with the various activities that are carried out within them, in particular those of tugboats and shipyards. After that, my research enlarged to the ports of Ancona and Ortona: these are smaller, but equally important, where there are also functions to support oil fuel in the Adriatic Sea.

About author:

I started with photography in 2009 as self-taught. I got passionate about reportage after a course in 2011 in Sicily and then I attend several courses and workshops including a long-term project with artists and professional photographers, in order to improve myself and get to know different perspectives and points of view. Currently I am working on several research and documentation projects.
