Ódáðahraun is a huge deserted lave field on the Central Highlands in Iceland. In the old days, people avoided the area, thinking it is a land of ghosts. Now there are some 4/4 car roads crossing this territory, open in summer . During year when the roads are closed there is nobody there, and nobody in the circle of hundreds kilometers. I wanted to have Ódáðahraun for my self ( empty, as it was centuries ago) so I went there on foot in May when roads were closed and it was still snow- thanks to it I had some water. During 10 days I walked 300 km to the Askja Volcano and back. I wanted to show this experience on the photographs- not the amazing landscapes (already photographed), but the spirit of that land and my feelings when I was there alone. All that pictures are made in camera not in postproduction.

I made many stupidities in life, studied physics, designed fashion, even got some important awards for it. I wrote a book, and now I write a popular blog. I spend months each year hiking in the wilderness, it is like meditation and keeps me alive. I also do photographs. Nothing is about carrier so I do not want to be proffesionalist, I just want to share some important thoughts. Together with my writing it is my very small contribution which I am giving to the world.
