If Iceland is a paradise of nature and for photographers. Stokness is the altar where to give thanks for this paradise.
One of the most beautiful places in that land, I would not know if by its volcanic sand beach, that hard sea, the black dunes with those little herbs burned by the snow, or the majestic Vestrahorn.
Being a night photographer there is no other way to enjoy this place than at night. Waiting for the green lady (the aurora borealis).
However there are times that the meteorology does not accompany us, and when you only have one night to enjoy a place like this, you can not miss any opportunity

About author:
Passionate about photography and astronomy since I can remember. By twist of life it was not until 2010, when my wife gave me my first digital reflex, when I really started to spend time with those passions. With 36 years, but better late than never. Perhaps the birth of my son, that year, was that made me enjoy my hobby when there was time, at night. I soon discovered that night photography was on the one hand a great challenge (capture light when barely there) and extremely technical, and I can´t deny it, I´m passionate about technology. During these humble beginnings had a clear lack both artistic, and post processing knowledge . By self-learning and hard work, I was slowly trying to solve. Now with more resources at my disposal, and with more knowledge of this world, I don't doubt to attend masterclass, workshops or courses of other photographers whose work I admire, envy or just cause me inquietude. It is not until last year when I finally get a clear and quality workflow that gives me the expected results in my style of photography. And when I get my own identity. That is when there is a radical change in me. I´m aware that my work has nothing to envy to others; and I start to introduce international competitions in order to, especially, find recognition, and also promote myself. In just one year I got dozens of mentions. Including absolute winners, second places and many finalists in prestigious competitions. All exclusively with night photography, which is always a handicap. Today would not know whether to define myself as advanced amateur or beginning professional. I sell photograph, teach courses, participate in conferences, but income barely give to support my activity, and it isn´t my exclusive work.BACK TO GALLERY
