The tradition of the floral bouquet in art goes back centuries. The “Long Moment” project features brand new botanical forms, which a camera “sees” when plant subjects are placed in motion during long exposure. I welcome the dance of distortion and decay, and perform an occasional surgical intervention. The images are unique and unrepeatable, portraying natural subjects from our garden. This large portfolio originated in 2008, with additions ever since. Every piece is both a distinct departure from botanical reality, and a literal document of what happened in a single slice of time.
