Porth Dafarch, North Wales

The Welsh coast brings geologists from worldwide to study its intricate, folded Mica-shist rock. The rough folds of the rock come to life when soaked by the rough seas, and as the dark formations glint in the light from the setting sun they seem to move and morph as if alive.

About author:

Based on Anglesey, North Wales, I am an amateur landscape photographer that works mainly on Anglesey but also further afield. I enjoy composing unique pictures by using camera effects and dramatic compositions to create dynamic and surreal landscapes.
