American photographer, Minor White, once said “One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are”. I find it depicting an important mission of, especially fine art, photographers
“Flowing” is a photographic project with the spiral stairwell of the Frank Gehry-designed Art Gallery of Ontario as the subject. However, I did not capture the it as a whole. I studied its lines and curves carefully and produced a series of abstract-painting-like photographs. They are not a pure documentation of the staircase but a visual journey guided by lines and curves.
