Fine Art: Conceptual (AMATEUR) - HONORABLE MENTION

This series of images was created with the intention of presenting in a conceptual way the big cities of today. In fact, I am based in the American and Asian cities, with enormous buildings and colors that illuminate them during the night.
The first image "The city" is an image that has already received some recognition at the level of contests, in PX3 2017 and 35awards 2016 is a vision of the city of NY.
The second "the city of colors", is based on the colors of cityscapes around the world,approaches the colors in a city illuminated at night.
The 3rd image is a tribute to the "twin towers".
The 4rd image is intended to demonstrate that today's cities, population growth, people mobility for coastal zones and concentration, is summed up in a massive energy demand.
All images were created on black glass surface, using materials of common use or others such as the case of elements recycled as electronic elements.
In a final approach is the architect, fundamental piece in these creations, an image that demonstrates the vision of these people who every year see us with art in the form of buildings.
All images were created with simple elements in my home, over black glass and black card in the background, exception to the "twin towers" , were i used a long exposure, of the ocean, previously captured in the north coast of my country, Portugal.
I developed a huge taste for concetual, abstract and macro photography. I started a new study of street photography, in an abstract way and with a different view of what one normally sees in street photography, using 10mm objective or voluntary movements of the camera, creating effects of "motion blur".
In the last years I have won some prizes, publications in the site 1X, as well as in the best book of 1X. I participated in several national and international competitions with 1st, 2nd place and honorable mentions

About author:
I am an electrical engineer, and I have an enormous taste for photography, something I have already been able to instill in my 6 year old daughter. The fact of being an engineer allowed at the beginning of my development of photography, start with theory, such as physics, optics and chemistry.I developed a huge taste for concetual, abstract and macro photography. I started a new study of street photography, in an abstract way and with a different view of what one normally sees in street photography, using 10mm objective or voluntary movements of the camera, creating effects of "motion blur".
