The Lion's Gate Bridge rises out of the morning fog in downtown Vancouver. A long exposure highlights the motion of the cars as the city wakes up and the citizens begin their daily commute .

About author:

Richard Vandegriend is a self-taught Vancouver based photographer whose passion is landscape and fine-art photography. Believing that composition and timing are critical to a great image, compositional elements are not altered in post-processing. Instead care and patience are exercised to ensure the image was captured perfectly in camera. As landscape photography is so dependent on lighting and weather conditions, more often than not, great images are discovered rather than planned. One must give themselves the time and opportunity to discover these images.
