This set of pictures was took in Caiyuanba Bridge in Chongqing in the summer of 2017. This bridge might be the most complicated overpass system you can see from the map in your phone, and the place you cannot find the answer by your navigation software. Different from most building related pictures, these pictures portray several parts of this huge reinforced concrete monster with the way of portraying a person. He is the result and the reflection of geopolitics of Chongqing. He disdains to be similar to other delicate buildings: he exposes his texture and structure like male genitalia purely in the sun and shows his roughness and malevolence confidently. He is the visualization of the totalitarianism in George Orwell’s “1984”.
