After an overnight stay in Pine Valley we make a pre-dawn start of the 650 metre vertical climb to the summit of the Acropolis via a very steep track through rainforest. We then explore this beautiful plateau of ancient snow gums and Pandanus trees.
This lone snow gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora) shows off its characteristic smooth multi coloured bark.
Taken with a Phaseone camera and a 28mm lens.
