Chaos, hustle and bustle, endless honking and narrow paths formed by slowly moving piled spicebags. This is how the Old Delhi spice market, the largest wholesale spice market in Asia, looks like. Chillies and countless other spices are hanging in the air let you hardly breathe and gasping for air. It's hard for an European to discover an existing planfully order behind all that "hurly-burly". Due to the high traffic density and subsequently very slow moves there is plenty of time for dealers taking breaks for a natter and drinking Chai Tea on top of their bags.
