Mixed Breed Rescue Dogs

These portraits form part of a larger series of portraits I've shot of mixed breed rescue dogs. All the dogs in the series have been adopted from shelters in South Africa and are now in loving homes. Mixed breed dogs are often overlooked in favour of pure breed dogs at shelters and these images are part of a personal project I'm working on to promote the adoption of them. Each and every mixed breed dog has a unique personality and face which makes them all the more charming in my opinion. I hope to break down some unfavourable stereotypes with this body of work so that people are encouraged to adopt dogs on their merits as an individual rather than ignoring them because they aren't a specific breed.
