The entry is a part of a 12-image series and uses anachronism and juxtaposition to showcase traditional elements of the old Japanese culture in a modern, minimalistic environment. It is as if Ayako (a Geisha whose name was derived from the beauty of the garments she was wearing) is chasing memories, completely submerged in them and utterly unaware of her sterile and somewhat stark surroundings which are now her world. The series was shot in a modern museum and its outdoor grounds and the clothes, although created by a modern designer, were styled in layers to loosely reference the wears of a past Japanese era.
