In January 2016 I travelled from Denmark to Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece to photograph Dalmatian Pelicans. On a frost cold morning at the lake I noticed a fine reflection in the calm water when a Dalmatian Pelican passed our small boat. The soft morning light created a pastel-like atmosphere to the scenery with the mountains in the background.
The Dalmatian Pelican passed our boat a few times before leaving and I managed to get a few shots with a pleasing composition and fine reflection. This image came out as my favourite.
Bird photography is my main interest, but I also enjoy wildlife and landscape images.
