In this valley we first met the type of lifestyle that accompanied us through most of this trip. Although we were in china, close to the border live the Uyghur nation, an ethnic group – mostly Kazakhs and Kirgizs struggling with their identity and independence. At the bottom of the valley are some housing tents and a nice stream we visited. As the day disappeared we headed back up to pour camp. For no apparent reason I turn around a saw this. With one hand holding a branch and the camera in the other, a few fast clicks and it was gone. Thankfully our local host offered to drop us at the camp, an offer his wife wasn’t too pleased about. He smiled at us before leaving for the herd.
