The bulls and the jockey

This image was shot at the Pacu Jawi bull race where the jockey has the responsibility to control the bulls by standing on a harness bare foot and holding on to the bulls tails. The race is run in Western Sumatra just after the paddy fields have been harvested.
Born on June 1st 1964, Ranjan had a natural flair for photography since childhood, studied it in school, followed by self-learning and workshops over the last decade. He has graduated in the ‘complete course of professional photography’ from the New York Institute of Photography, USA.
