Sunset silence

This photo was taken around sunset at the Dutch mud flat coast of the Wadden Sea near the Eems Seaport. It was a cold spring day in 2013 with quiet weather. The water was at high tide and by using Lee filters to lengthen the exposure time, which caused the water surface to flatten to a smooth surface. The blue colors in the photo express the cold weather conditions in early May of that year. I wanted the photo to breath the silence and tranquility, and to show the beauty of nature when everything comes to rest.
