I shot a series of portraits of the Dakota Access Pipeline protesters (or water protectors as they prefer to be called) last month in North Dakota. Inside the Oceti Sakowin Camp I met this young woman Mia. She was standing still amidst a busy scene. She like me had just arrived and was still absorbing it all.
