I climbed up the inside of an old lighthouse in Australia, and shot the curved shapes on a viewing platform. As one of the shapes looked like an egg, I went looking for a bird and some sticks with which to create a nesting scene. I found them nearby, and shot those too, along with an evening sky. I put the four images together to form this scene.

Because he cannot draw or paint, Michael uses photography as a medium for creating art. Two years part time at the Photography Studies College of Melbourne, Australia, gave him a grounding in the principles and elements of art, camera craft, Photoshop and creative photography. Michael has only recently started submitting images to competitions, and has had several accepted by the Sydney International Photography Exhibition 2015 and Better Photography Magazine's Creative Flair Top 50 for 2015.
