Sugar Cane Harvesting is deadly. Gruelling manual labor, dehydration and kidney disease. Yet, even in this there is beauty and dignity of the human spirit. The individuality of the worker, of the need for each of us to be productive, the satisfaction of a job well done, the soul of family waiting for his return from the field. This is the story of our human condition wherever we are. Love, dignity, fierce pride and spirit.
