Through the series, I have tried to capture and portray in a different manner, different moods people experience (Optimistic, Depressed, Numb, Wavery, Cranky). First, it dawned upon me that shadow photography is something I gave a try at in this competition and then I conceived the idea of depicting mood swings. Personally, I see shadow as a sort of reveal of inner self even for inanimate objects and I am glad I have chosen that as a medium to express the theme. All the images have been shot under natural light using mobile camera. Hope you enjoy the series.

I am a structural engineer by profession. I deal with drawings and 3D models of different structures everyday at work and hence I have got a liking towards lines and shapes. As a rookie photographer, I have been trying out different genres and shadow photography is something I have picked up interest in of late. I love the interplay between light and different shapes.
