Strombolian activity from a vent on the north eastern side of Mount Etna (Italy). In the background the city lights ... life proceeds in a quiet way
in 1981, Simone lives in Catania where he earned a degree in geological science in 2007 and is currently a freelance geologist. Thanks to his passion for Mount Etna, he has been approached to be the photographer to catch all of the most important events of this volcano’s life. His first photos were taken with a reflex Ricoh KR-10M. Simone feels that photography is a way to understand nature and the world so naturally he is fascination with urban and natural landscapes, natural events and by sky-contrast photos.
