This photo of Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol was taken as the fog rolled through the Avon Gorge on a December afternoon. I chose to put away my wide-angle and use a telephoto lens as I wanted to provide a different perspective on an iconic Bristol landmark and make the viewer feel as if they were floating alongside the bridge. In the half-light, the disembodied metal structure looks like the spine of a colossal creature curving through the fog.
