I have been capturing reflections in St. Petersburg and Amsterdam canals for more than 15 years. At the beginning, I ignored the abstract images with water ripples. Later I started paying more attention to blurred pictures. Some images resemble abstract paintings; in some, you can clearly see moving water; sometimes I wonder how water could form these fanciful shapes.

I am not a professional photographer, however I have been taking photographs for all my life. I started when I was 12 and my first camera was Zenit TTL, that was a birthday present from my grandparents. I used to develop and print photos of my classmates in the bathroom. Later, I switched my focus to urban landscape. Digital photography facilitated shooting and editing processes and significantly improved the quality of my pictures. At the moment I am interested in exploring impressionist, abstract and surreal styles, bluring the reality and at the same moment to showing the beauty I see around me.
