Golden Eagle, Aquila chrysaetos. I visit Northern Sweden during the winter months to photograph these magnificent eagles. Over the years I have started to get to know the resident pair of eagles. I have long thought of getting a picture of the eagle very close and after a number of years trying I finally managed it in February 2015.
Taken at eight metres with a 300mm lens this was truely a breathtaking moment for me.
A multi award winning photographer his work can be seen locally and internationally in books, magazines and newspapers. He is passionate about Scotland and its amazing wildlife and promotes it in his lectures and illustrated talks all over the UK.
