There are but a few things that I truly cherish in life. Peace & Calm are on the short list.
I didn’t know what was going to happen that evening. I had decided to set up two cameras, this one and the huge 8x10 camera. And in the midst of running back and forth between the two cameras, which were not so close together, not wanting to ‘miss the moment’ I was forced to pause by the sheer beauty that was unfolding right in front of my eyes.
The pause, if only for a simple few moments, filled me with a sense of peace and calm I am not likely to soon forget. It reminded me that we need to slow down and enjoy the simple truthful moments in life that come all too infrequent these days, because it is in those moments that we find real peace, real calm, life as it was meant.
Renowned for the vibrant colors and rich textures of his wilderness landscape photography, Rodney is a purist who captures what nature creates, using no color filters or darkroom deception. The world today is a remarkable place full of beauty and splendor,” Rodney exclaims. “To witness the simple grandeur of creation, the miracle of nature, is perhaps all that we need. The peace received while viewing a leaf turned color at the height of fall is immense and divine."
