This photograph shows the blue tit looking through the hole in the block of ice. I took this picture in my garden in Bydgoszcz (central Poland), during winter. I used a shutter remote control. I placed my camera in prepared earlier space under the block of ice (with small hole). Everything was really close to the birdfeeder. I observed many times, that curious birds searched for the food not only in the birdfeeder, but also on the frozen ground, bottom of tree trunks, etc. I hoped one of the blue or great tits will be interested in that hole in the ice. After 30 minutes of waiting with remote control in one hand and binoculars in the other, I could finally press the button after blue tit appeared on ice.
Equipment: Canon EOS 7D + Canon EFS 24mm f/2.8 STM + Phottix Cleon II shutter remote control, ISO 640, 1/500s, f/10
