"Remains of the Journey" is a thematic photo compilation, focused on the wrecks of the smugglers' boats carrying refugees from Turkey to Greece through Lesvos island. While volunteering on Lesvos during November-December 2015, I was haunted by the tons of wrecks drifting aside the beaches and became obsessed by the remains of the life-threatening, unsafe passage of thousands of desperate refugees. The photos were taken on the north area of the island.
