Anything related to shooting the Aurora involves a bit of luck, in this particular case it was the composition as at first shooting single shots against the aurora did not provide the most interesting composition.
When I looked at the entire scene as one it all became clear as day, the mountain if I composed it a certain way with the aurora would look like an arrow, that is what I went with for this image.
I´ve been actively photographing since November 2012 and try to incorporate the way I feel when capturing a moment in my photography which is reflected in the way I compose and edit my images.
