This theme I explored is meant to challenge the traditional representation of photography. These following series are a melting pot of abstract, surreal, conceptual photographs aimed to disturb the audience by masking out the main subject and blurring the reality and understanding of the basics of photography. I called this theme “Ink In Water”.

About author:
Born in Grenoble in 1996, Alexis Gonnet is a young photographer who probably gets his artistic precocity due to a childhood of globe-trotter and adolescence in an english school. He is initiated at Millfield School to the plastics arts and media techniques. Also contestant in several photography contests on the internet, he decides to start digital imagery and the creation of conceptual photography. In his photos he evokes disturbingly poetical mythological stories and childhood fairytales. Recently, Alexis has taken part in a fantastic adventure with a french painter called Franck Bouroullec, from the Ecole des Gobelins, who is internationally renowned for his live painting performances. The two of them joined their artistic minds to create an astonishing photography exhibition held in the Ferrari Art Gallery in Vevey, Switzerland. Moreover, this exhibition opened Alexis the doors to be part of the very famous Festival de L'Image de Vevey for an entire month where thousands of photography addicts got to see his work for the first time.BACK TO GALLERY
