The island of Penang and its capital city George Town, has gained prominence in recent years as a must-visit tropical paradise. But for several months a year, it also has to contend with monsoons that bring severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. This series is an ongoing, long-term project depicting my hometown's electrifying weather - juxtaposed against its landmarks and skylines. The captivating light displays are also testament to Mother Nature's awesome power, and remind us that no matter how high mankind builds, it will always live under her spectre.
