Study of reflections from underwater.
She was born in Paris France and has been living in Los Angeles since 1999. Her father was a fashion and theater photographer (Jorge Damonte), and her mother was a contemporary dancer (Marcia Moretto). She grew up between a darkroom and a stage.
Heavy manipulations through digital editing and movement are elements found in all her work.
Mitchell now shoots a lot underwater. She finds it widely inspiring and will keep having a body of work that has both over and underwater creations.
Her photography is surrealistic, feminine and painterly.
She speaks 4 languages (french, spanish, italian and english) and hopes to learn Japanese someday.
